But, now I came to know how insightful and profound his poems are after reading his masterpiece ‘Rashmirathi’. Though the poems in this collection depict the life of mighty Karna, one of the important characters of the great epic Mahabharat, I felt it is beyond it. It targets the narrow mindset and psyche of our society which recognise a person on the basis of his or her caste instead of his or her human quality. This amazing work wonderfully portrays our rich history, the beauty of the culture, and the depth of the Hindi language.
